Light rubbing and scuffing to boards, light rubbing to spine, moderate rubbing to extremities, corners bumped and lightly worn, front joints starting at ends. Light toning to text, occasional light soiling to head of text block, faint dampstaining to foot of text block in a few places, light foxing to preliminaries and a few other leaves. An appealing copy. $750. * Second edition, "Corrected." First published in 1732, this set of reports has been attributed to Matthew Bacon, Robert Foley, Sir Geoffrey Gilbert, Henry Pooley or a combination of these authors. Marvin, believes about half of the reports were by Pooley, "a lawyer of great eminence in his time." Viner says Pooley was the sole reporter. Marvin, Legal Bibliography 48.
