The author of more than twenty books, Cunningham (1718?-1789) was one of the most prolific legal writers of the eighteenth century. Garner is the author of over 30 books, among them seven unabridged editions of Black's Law Dictionary, from the 7th edition (1999) to the 12th edition (2024).
