Warren wrote several fictional and non-fictional works about the law, such as the novel Ten Thousand a Year (1841) and the classic primer A Popular and Practical Introduction to Law Studies (1836). In 1855 he published another Blackstone-based primer, Blackstone's Commentaries Systematically Abridged. It had a second edition in 1856.
