Contemporary paneled pigskin with elaborate blind tooling (dated 1578), raised bands to spine. Moderate soiling, chipping to foot of spine, corners bumped and somewhat worn, a few scuffs and early repairs to boards, which are slightly bowed, a few minor worm holes, minor worming to pastedowns, which are loose near the corners. Large woodcut printer's device to title page, colophon to verso of final leaf, head-pieces, tail-pieces and decorated initials. Some toning to text, some soiling and dampstaining to preliminaries and first few text leaves, light foxing and browning to a few leaves.
