First published in 1867, this guidebook includes sections on bankruptcy, divorce law, contracts of married women, bonds, bills, and notes. It also has a valuable list of attorneys arranged by county. It is designated "second edition" with an 1867 copyright. Davis was a United States Commissioner and an Indiana attorney; the first two pages advertise his services as a specialist in bankruptcy law and debt collection. Davis also published a digest and reports of cases of the Indiana Supreme Court and edited a revision of Indiana statutes. OCLC locates 5 copies, 1 in a law library (Harvard).
