Recent period-style quarter calf over pebbled cloth, raised bands, blind tooling and lettering piece to spine. Moderate toning and occasional light foxing to text, faint dampstaining to lower margins of final fifteen leaves. A handsome copy $950. * First edition. This book is included in Holdsworth's survey of the literature of eighteenth-century common law, where he calls it "a considerable collection." The precedents were digested and revised by Rice, who added a table giving the date of the case relating to each precedent and, if reported, a reference to a reporter.
