Text complete. pp. 129-216 and one index leaf from Part I misbound as sections of Part II. Quarto (10-1/2" x 8"). Contemporary calf, rebacked, blind rules to boards, blind fillets to joints, raised bands, blind tooling and existing retained lettering piece to spine, blind tooling to board edges. A few minor scuffs and nicks to boards, some rubbing to extremities, corners bumped and somewhat worn, front hinge cracked, early armorial bookplate (of Penry Williams) to front pastedown. Light toning to text, somewhat heavier in places, some leaves have light foxing. Early annotations in a few places, explaining the locations of the misbound sections, interior otherwise clean. A handsome copy of a scarce title. $500. * Only edition. This book is a comprehensive supplement to Cunningham's Practice of a Justice of Peace. A well regarded work published in 1762, it had a second edition in 1769. Precedents and Supplement is a scarce title.
