Contemporary calf, rebacked in period style, blind fillets to boards, raised bands and lettering piece to spine, endpapers renewed, repairs to corners of boards. Some rubbing and scuffing to boards, moderate rubbing to board edges, corners bumped and somewhat worn, hinges cracked, library bookplate to front pastedown. Light toning to text, occasional faint dampstaining, with dampspotting in places, to head of text block, repair to upper section of title page, which has two small library stamps. An attractive copy. $300. * Only edition. "His reports have a peculiar value, from the fact of containing the decisions of the great Lord Hardwicke, and if the author has occasionally fallen into slight errors, they are neither so glaring or numerous as to detract much from their merits" (Marvin). 94.
