Contemporary calf, rebacked in period style, blind rules to boards, raised bands and lettering piece to spine, early hand-lettered title to fore-edge of text block, hinges mended. Light rubbing and some shallow scuffing to boards, moderate rubbing to board edges, corners bumped and somewhat worn, later library bookplate to front pastedown. Moderate toning to text, dampstaining and some edgewear to front free endpaper, some offsetting to margins of title page and rear free endpaper. $200. * First edition. With an index of topics. Palmer was the first Attorney-General after the Restoration. His reports cover the years 1619 to 1629 and address matters ranging from land disputes to witchcraft ("Anne Knights Case").
