Recent period-style quarter calf over marbled boards, raised bands, blind ornaments and lettering piece to spine, endpapers renewed. Light toning to text, slightly heavier in places, negligible light foxing and minor edgewear to preliminaries, faint circle in ink around "D" of Digest on title page. A nice copy. $500. * Only reissue of the only edition. Covering cases from the end of the Glorious Revolution to 1773, this digest was intended for the "younger part of the profession" that lacked the resources to build a library of reporters or the time to compile a digest of cases.
