Contemporary speckled sheep, rebacked in period-style calf, raised bands and retained contemporary lettering piece to spine, blind tooling to board edges, hinges mended. A few shallow scuffs to boards, some rubbing to board edges with wear to corners, front hinge starting, early owner bookplate (of William F. McCoun) to front pastedown, front free endpaper loose. Moderate toning to text, light foxing in a few places. $250. * Only edition. Wallace, who offers a positive review of this work, notes it was derived "from a manuscript of some reputation, though the author of it is not known. In addition to the common-law cases reported in it, the book contains about an equal number of cases in Chancery, decided between the years 1744 and 1746.
