Single-page letter on Holmes's 6-1/4" x 4-1/2" 296 Beacon Street stationary in attractive glazed wood 10" x 9" frame. Light toning to letter, faint fold line through center, a few minor nicks to frame. $250. * Addressed to Samuel Plantz "and other gentlemen," the letter reads: "Gentlemen, It will give me great pleasure to see you at my house on Friday afternoon at any time from three to five o'clock. Very truly yours, O.W. Holmes." Plantz [1859-1924] was a Methodist minister and a distinguished president of Lawrence University.
