Octavo (8" x 5"). Contemporary calf, blind rules to boards, raised bands and blind-stamped volume numbers to spines, lettering pieces lacking. Light rubbing and some minor nicks, scratches and inkstains to boards, moderate rubbing to extremities, corners bumped, front board of Common Pleas partially detached but secure, front hinge of King's Bench partially cracked, pastedowns of both volumes loose, minor worming to lower margins of preliminaries of King's Bench (a single worm hole continues to p. 198). Moderate toning to text, occasional light soiling to margins, annotations in early hand to a few leaves, later struck-through owner stamps (J. Phelps) to title pages, early owner signature to front endleaf of King's Bench. $350. * Only edition. Harrison, who also published a guide to the Court of Chancery, was an expert on practice and procedure. His works on the Courts of King's Bench and Common Pleas, though bibliographically distinct, are often found as two-volume sets. Both titles are scarce.
