A title in the Notable British Trial Series. Minutes before her accidental insurance policies expired, Fox strangled and set fire to his mother's hotel room to make it appear that her death had been an accident. Despite a conflict of medical opinion at the trial, Fox, a known thief and forger, was convicted and hanged. This trial was not appealed, which was unusual at this time.
