Light rubbing to boards, moderate rubbing to extremities with wear to spine ends and corners, joints and front hinge starting at ends. Moderate toning to interior, light foxing to a few leaves, small library stamp to title page and a few other leaves, early hand-lettered shelf mark (?) to front pastedown, author presentation inscription to front endleaf. $450. * Only edition. Repp was a Danish philologist, linguist and journalist. His most important scholarly work was a Latin translation of the Laxdaela Saga. His study of the origins of jury trials, wager of law and related practices in Scandinavia was a notable contribution to comparitive legal history.
