Contemporary calf, blind rules to boards, blind fillets along joints, raised bands to spine, blind tooling to board edges, front hinge mended. A few minor nicks and spots to boards, moderate rubbing to extremities, front joint cracked, rear board beginning to separate but secure. Moderate toning to interior, some offsetting to endleaves. $250. * Second and final edition. "[A new treatise on this subject]...is very necessary for the justice of the peace [and attorney].... And it is absolutely necessary for the sporting gentleman [and farmer].... Another reason, why a new treatise on the Game-Law is become necessary, is, the multiplicity of new statutes that have been passed, and the cases that have been determined within these passed few years, and which have almost entirely altered the face of the Law with respect to these matters" [iii]. The first edition of this work was published in 1764 and reissued under the author's name in 1766. Cunningham, the "Gentleman of the Middle-Temple," was the author of an important law dictionary.
