Recent quarter calf over marbled boards, blind rules to calf edges, gilt fillets, lettering piece and date to spine, edges speckled, endleaves renewed. Light toning to interior, light soiling in a few places, ink library stamps to title page, which is lightly foxed, and a few other pages, legibility not affected. An appealing copy of a scarce title. $250. * First edition, one of two published the same year. Freshfield was an English lawyer and MP appointed joint solicitor to the Bank of England in 1819. This address on principal and factor deals with the law relating to agency, auctions and brokers. OCLC locates 4 copies (British Library, University College London, University of London, University of Michigan Law School).
