Moderate toning, a few tiny spots, horizontal fold line through center, a few fold lines and creases to corners. $350. * This poem, by "Fearnought," describes a pleasant Christmas day in a Church-run poorhouse. The paupers are grateful, pious and humble and the rate-payers (taxpayers) who support them are warmed by the sight: "Rate-payers view them with much delight, they say it is a most beautiful sight, To see the poor, humble and meek, Christ and his kingdom do seek." This appears to be an unrecorded imprint. No copies listed on OCLC or Library Hub.
