Contemporary calf, blind fillets to boards, small later paper label to front board with owner names and annotations, raised bands to spine, joints reinforced with cloth tape. Considerable wear to boards and extremities, hinges cracked, later library bookplate and owner signatures (of F. Howard Kidd) to front pastedown, owner inscription (signed Joseph W. Brady and dated 1860) to front free endpaper, rear free endpaper detached. Title page printed in red and black. Light browning and light foxing to text, somewhat heavier in places, faint dampstaining to a few leaves at end of text. $250. * Second edition.
