With a folding table and 15 pp. printer catalogue. Octavo (5-3/4" x 3-3/4"). Contemporary sheep, blind rules and corner fleurons to boards, edges rouged, pastedowns loose. Rubbing and scuffing to boards, somewhat heavier rubbing and light wear to extremities, a few small holes to joints, front joint starting at foot, corners slightly bumped, hinges cracked, armorial bookplate to front pastedown. Moderate toning to interior, light foxing and soiling in a few places, partial cracks in text block before leaf G and after leaf F7 (due to insertion of folding plate leaf), all leaves secure, small tear to bottom of leaf H8 (pp. 107-108) not affecting text. $150. * Second edition. A brief compilation of arms with an extensive catalogue of noble families, including sections devoted to Scotland and Ireland. The work went through six editions, all in 1682. Dugdale was a historian of high repute who wrote many works on heraldry and nobility. Our copy has the "Second Edition Corrected" statement and the corresponding imprint, but is paginated differently than the ESTC record for the second edition; the text is complete.
