Original sheep dyed black to resemble calf, blind frames and large gilt seal of the Supreme Court to center of front boards, gilt-edged raised bands, gilt ornaments and black and red lettering pieces to spine, all edges gilt, gilt tooling to board edges, gilt inside dentelles, marbled endpapers, cloth-reinforced hinges. Light rubbing and some minor nicks and scuffs to boards, moderate rubbing to extremities with light wear to spine ends and corners, moderate toning to interiors.
