London: Printed for William Cooke, 1637. [iv], 33, [1] pp. Quarto (6-1/2" x 5"). Stab-stitched pamphlet bound in recent calf, gilt fillets to spine, top and fore-edges rouged, bottom edge untrimmed. Boards slightly bowed, light rubbing to extremities. Moderate toning to interior, occasional light soiling, light foxing to a few leaves, faint dampstain to upper gutter of pp. 11-19, clean tear to gutter of leaf A4 (pp. 1-2) mended on recto and affecting text on verso without loss to legibility, lower corner of final leaf lacking, text not affected, early annotation to contemporary blank preceding title page, later pencil annotation to title page. $1,250. * Second and final edition. First published posthumously in 1635, this treatise by Coke provides a clear and succinct overview of the law of bail.
