Light rubbing and minor soiling to boards, moderate rubbing and light fading to extremities, rear joint starting at ends, small holes at ends of front joint, spine ends and corners bumped and lightly worn, later armorial bookplate (of Edwin Freshfield) to front pastedown. Moderate toning to interior, light soiling in a few places, several small wormholes to text block of the Table and minor worming to a few leaves of Anno Secundo et Tertio, no loss to legibility, small pencil and ink annotations to title page of Table. $2,000. * Table: only edition; Anno Secundo et Tertio: later edition. 39 public acts passed under Edward VI in 1548-1549. Some of the more interesting acts involve significant Protestant reforms to the English Church, including the Act of Uniformity, which established the Book of Common Prayer as the sole form of legal worship in England. Also included is the Clergy Marriage Act, which abolished the prohibition on marriage for priests in the Church of England. The Table is a separately printed index encompassing all of Edward's reign and inten.
