Moderate toning to interior, light foxing to a few leaves, library stamps to title page and a few other leaves, margins trimmed closely with minor loss in places, light soiling and minor edgewear to title page, following leaf and final two leaves. $850. * Only edition. This was the only early legal treatise on Welsh law following the 1536 Act of Union between England and Wales and the establishment of the Court of Great Session in 1543. It includes, in an appendix, an abridgement of all statutes uniting Wales to England. Vaughan, an Anglo-Welsh lawyer and economist, is known today as the author of A Discourse on Coins and Coinage (1675), a seminal study of currency. This is a scarce title.
