Contemporary speckled calf, blind rules and gilt-stamped monogram to boards, raised bands and later handwritten label to spine, gilt fillets to board edges, edges rouged. Light rubbing and some small scuffs, nicks, scratches and stains to boards, moderate rubbing to extremities, small chip to foot of spine, corners bumped and worn, hinges cracked, pastedowns loose and significantly edgeworn. Title page printed in red and black. Light toning to interior, light foxing and soiling in a few places, corners or edges of a few leaves untrimmed, occasional minor worming to gutter affecting text without loss to legibility, upper corners of leaves 4U3-4Y4 (pp. 729-748) lacking without loss to text.
