Brooke, 1791. Two volumes. [viii], 485, 32; [iv], 470, [26] pp. Both volumes conclude with "A Register of Law Publications." Octavo (8" x 4-3/4"). Contemporary calf, blind fillets to boards, blind fillets and volume numbers to spines, blind tooling to board edges. Moderate rubbing and scuffing to boards, somewhat heavier rubbing to extremities, joints cracked or starting, head of Vol. I spine chipped, corners bumped and worn, front hinge of Vol. I cracked after front free endpaper, its rear hinge starting, armorial bookplates (of James Bennett Freeland) to front pastedowns. Light toning to interior, light foxing in several places, light soiling to a few leaves, fold lines to corners of a few leaves in Vol. II. $750. * Only edition. Preceded in 1787 by a single volume containing 11 other tracts, Collectanea Juridica is a selection of 40 unpublished 17th and 18th-centurry tracts from Hargrave's vast library, which was later acquired by the British Library.
