The anonymous author describes the nobility and dignity of the profession at length and argues that if young people of good characters are dissuaded from joining the legal profession, it will be overrun by those with "vulgar and degraded minds, such as are alive only to the base suggestions of gain, and insensible even to merited disgrace."
