Moderate toning to interior, light foxing to preliminaries and a few other leaves. $300. * Only edition. Most of this impressive library was created by Sir William Lee, a jurist and politician who was Lord Chief Justice of King's Bench from 1737 to 1754, and his brother Sir George Lee, also a jurist and politician, who was dean and a judge of the Arches Court of Canterbury from 1751 to 1758. Hartwell was the ancestral home of the Lee family. Ashburner [1864-1936] was a British legal scholar and an important collector of early printed books and manuscripts.
