Arranged chronologically and then alphabetically digested, this was the first substantial effort to catalogue the realm's excise taxes aimed at consumers. Other editions followed in 1722, 1724 and 1737. Bound with our copy is an unrecorded printing of an act of George III continuing similar duties.
