Moderate toning to interior, faint stain to upper right corner of text block, light foxing, soiling and faint dampstains to a few leaves, later annotation (ownership signatures?) to verso of leaf A6. $850. * This volume records 13 (of 16) acts for the Parliament for the thirty-first year of Elizabeth's reign. It would have sat in 1588 (Regnal Year 30), but Elizabeth delayed its opening to February 4, 1589 due to the crisis of the Spanish Armada. At least two acts address that experience. These include "An Act Against Imbeazelling of Armor, Habilliments of Warre, And Victuall" and "An Act Concerning Informers." This variant lists 16 total acts in the table (24 including the private acts, which were not printed) but all known copies only include acts 1-13.
