First published in 1762 as A Treatise on the Prerogatives of a Queen Consort of England, this treatise reviews the historical rights and privileges of a queen consort. The first edition was dedicated to Queen Charlotte and the second edition was published to mark the accession of Queen Caroline to the throne (despite the best efforts of King George to secure a divorce). All editions are scarce; the Smeeton edition is rare. OCLC and Library Hub locate 1 copy (National Library of Scotland).
