Light rubbing to boards, small inkstain to front board, moderate rubbing to extremities, a few shallow scuffs to spine and rear joint, lettering piece partially abraded, corners bumped and worn, faint offsetting to endpapers, upper right corner of front free endpaper, which is affixed to front endleaf, neatly removed, early (illegible) annotation to upper right corner of front endleaf, annotations to its verso. Light toning to interior, a few partial cracks to text block, all leaves secure, small faint stains in a few places in first work, faint staining through col. 171 of second work, early annotation and later ownership signature (of Henrici Hermanni, dated 1654) to title page of first work, its lower right corner neatly removed. Occasional early underlining, corrections and annotations to both works, most in a single hand, some affected by trimming, others preserved on folded and untrimmed leaves. $1,500. * Second editions.
