Recent quarter calf over marbled boards, blind fillets and gilt title to spine, endpapers renewed. Light toning to interior, minor worming to text block and lower gutter, no loss to legibility, occasional faint dampstaining, light soiling in a few places, a few folded corners, cracks in text block after first and before final leaves, clean tear to fore-edge of leaf B1 (fol. vij) not affecting text, early annotations to a few pages. $1,500. * Later edition. 39 public acts passed under Edward VI in 1548-1549. Some of the more interesting acts involve significant Protestant reforms to the English Church, including the Act of Uniformity, which established the Book of Common Prayer as the sole form of legal worship in England.
