Light rubbing and a few small scratches to boards, moderate rubbing to extremities, portion of lower spine lacking, joints starting at ends, chipping to spine ends, corners bumped, hinges starting, faint offsetting to endleaves, illegible ownership signature in pencil to front free endpaper. Light toning to interior, light foxing to a few pages, a few partial cracks to text block, all leaves secure. $450. * First edition. A comprehensive collection of precedents and forms for statutory offenses in magistrate's courts. First published in light of the Jervis Acts, which significantly reformed the role of justice of the peace, it was a popular work and went through many editions well into the twentieth century.
