Tobey, dated November 1st, 1855) to front free endpaper. Light toning and foxing to interior, a few partial cracks to text block, all leaves secure. $300. * Reissue of the first American edition, 1844-1846, in a single volume. The classic parody of the Commentaries, it went through numerous English and American editions. Cruikshank was the leading English illustrator and caricaturist of his day.
