It is possible that our copy is a composite volume produced in 1846 using old stocks of the 1844 printing. It collates identically to Laeuchli 433 but has minor differences, including different dates on each title page (all title pages in Laeuchli 433 are dated 1846) and variant printer's and stereotyper's imprints. The collation of the individual parts does not match the parts' individual listings in Laeuchli. Eller says "the Library of Congress lists another issue, Philadelphia, Carey and Hart, 1844-1846, consisting of four parts in three volumes," though she notes that this copy has a spelling error on the title pages ("Cruikshauk" for "Cruikshank") not present in our copy (note to 187). See Eller, The William Blackstone Collection in the Yale Law Library 187 and Lauechli, A Bibliographical Catalog of William Blackstone 433.
