Octavo (8-1/2" x 5-1/2"). Contemporary quarter calf over marbled boards, top-edge gilt, marbled endpapers, front cover panel and spine, both with gilt and black-stamped images, affixed to rear endleaves. Some fading to spine, corners bumped and lightly worn. Moderate toning to interior, tiny dampspots to a few leaves, tiny tears to fore-edges of front endleaf and half-title, short tear to head of frontispiece along gutter, plates vivid. Edited by the author's son, this is the most lavish edition of the classic satire ever published.
