Far from a dry legal manual, this work captures the eccentricities of the 17th-century judiciary, featuring accounts of bizarre litigation, many of which are punctuated by contemporary poems and songs. This 1658 Continuatio expands the original work with an additional 150 cases, providing a rich tapestry of Baroque-era social and legal history. This copy boasts distinguished provenance, bearing the marks of the Oettingen-Wallerstein Library (Oettingen-Wallersteinsche Bibliothek). This prestigio.
