Accompanied by a 9-3/4" x 7-3/4" black-and-white portrait print of Brandeis in 1914. $500. * This proof was sent to Brandeis in advance of his appearance in Vol. 21 of Who's Who in America (1940-41). The sketch includes basic biographical information and a summary of his career, which began in private practice and culminated in an appointment as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. It also mentions his publications and areas of scholastic interest. Brandeis confirmed his home address and added the date of his retirement from the Supreme Court (February 13, 1939).
